Some 20 years ago, I found myself in a trucking lot after I had exhausted all the options I had for finding a job. At that moment, I admitted to myself and to Jesus that I had failed in my own strength and that I needed his help. A few minutes later, I headed further down the street and came to a gas station. As I walked past, I had a feeling that a gentle voice was saying, “Ask for a job here.” I grudgingly agreed and walked over to one of the employees. To my surprise, they said yes. I found a job. From that moment, I was aware that Jesus could guide my life much better than I could myself, and so my new life in Christ began.
I make custom furniture and have my own company. I graduated from carpentry school and continued to work in the trade until I gathered enough experience to start my own business. My hobby is fishing and I spend my free time fishing with my two sons.
