Youth Camp Izazov #8

CCE’s summer youth camp Izazov (Challenge) took place from August 12th to 18th
in Savudrija, at Camp Veli Jože. It brought together young people from different parts
of Croatia and offered them an unforgettable week filled with fellowship, games, and
workshops focused on walking in unity with God.
The main theme of the camp was READY. In workshops, Biblical teaching, and open
discussions, the youth tackled various questions: What does it mean to be ready even
when I have no friends? How can I stand firmly behind my beliefs? What am I
building my life on?
The week was filled with a rich program of sports and creative games, team activities,
and fun workshops which helped the campers build community and discover their

gifts. Every game carried a deeper message — we learned how to persevere, how to
cooperate, and how to stay ready to follow Christ in everyday situations.
The camp’s greatest value lay in the moments when the youth openly shared what
God is doing in their lives. Many testified that during that week they experienced
God’s closeness, received new strength and clear direction for their lives, formed new
friendships, and went home with a new fire in their hearts.
The enthusiasm for everything God did through the camp was shared by the
leadership team as well. With joyful and thankful hearts, we are already eagerly
looking forward to next year.
Camp Izazov once again showed that when young people are given space to play, talk,
and seek God together, deep transformation happens. Being ready for Christ is not just
the theme of the camp – it’s a lifelong call.
