THIRD CCE REGIONAL CONFERENCE

The main purpose of the regional conference is to connect, encourage, and equip regional ministers of the Gospel and believers within the European Foursquare churches. Believers and ministers from Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia gathered, along with guest pastors from the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The main theme of the conference was “Leadership through Service.”

Too often, when we think of leadership, we expect a “firm hand,” a dominant individual who, if things do not go their way, may even force those entrusted to them into doing something they do not want to do, or we think of someone who often intimidates through authority.
In contrast, Jesus, through His example of leadership, showed us what it means to be a leader in His Church: a leader who follows His example is first and foremost oriented toward developing the fruits of the Spirit according to Galatians 5 and is not focused on how to rule, but on how to serve, so that those under their care can also follow that example. For in the Kingdom of God, the essence of leadership is not power, nor is it primarily about achieving personal gain, but the good of all—believers around us, the local church, and ultimately the whole Church of Jesus Christ as the Body of Christ on earth. The primary goal of every believer is not personal advancement, but the advancement of God’s Kingdom, and leaders should take the lead and set the main example in this as well.

Speakers at the conference included Meic Pearse, Jochen Geiselhart, Mario Dučić, Bonnie Dučić, Randy Boldt, Sue Boldt, Josh Wood, Hailey Wood, and John Elliot. Since all the speakers drew their teachings from rich personal experience—based on what they themselves have lived through—participants were truly able to benefit and hear real-life examples of how to remain consistent and overcome the challenges that are inevitable on the narrow and steep path of faith. Furthermore, we learn no less through fellowship, which we cultivated abundantly over shared meals—this is where we connect and help one another carry burdens. Regional conference is an opportunity to strengthen old friendships and create new ones. That is why we always leave these gatherings fulfilled, encouraged, and renewed!
