Kids camp took place in the picturesque “Zelena dolina” near Petrinja, on the banks of the Petrinjčica
River.
The days were filled with both creative and sports activities—on the playground, in the swimming pool,
on the water slide, and in the evenings, everyone would gather around the campfire. The focus
throughout camp was on learning about the fundamental truths and values of Christ’s unconditional love
for humankind.
Everything was carried out under the watchful eye of experienced, trained leaders who are members of
Church of the Full Gospel, where they regularly lead and organize children’s activities. They were also
supported by teenagers, who selflessly and responsibly dedicated their time to helping the children.
Through well-designed and engaging games, the children learned teamwork and faced challenges with
great enthusiasm. They also actively participated in music, creative, and sports workshops, where they
had the chance to learn to play instruments, perform, enjoy fun sports activities, and create wonderful
handicrafts!
Through practical activities, the children were taught to trust God, and they even had the chance to put
their faith into action in prayer. One day, when heavy rain threatened to disrupt the planned activities,
everyone prayed together—and the rain stopped. With joy and excitement, they were able to continue
with everything planned for that day.
The children also grew in unity and solidarity, which was most evident when, during a speed game, one
boy began to feel unwell. Although it was a competitive game, the other children immediately stopped
playing, ran to him, and began to pray. He felt the support of everyone present encouraging him and
telling him that he was the true winner. None of the kids were even thinking about the outcome of the
game anymore! Its moments like these that strengthen our conviction that our effort is not in vain. We
show children God’s love, and they, in turn, share it with others.
On the last evening, during prayer and worship, children came forward for prayer. In tears they opened
their hearts and shared how they felt the touch of God. Afterwards, we gathered once more around the
campfire and sang all the songs we had learned during camp. What an incredible presence of God filled
everything around us.
Parents have also contacted us and told us how thrilled their children are, how much they already miss
camp, and how eagerly they are looking forward to next year—as do we!
