Toni Mrvič, a pastor and successful entrepreneur from Slovenia, spoke on the topic “Self-Control in Your Professional Life – Biblical Principles.” He discussed the importance of self-control as business owners, especially in relation to employees and subordinates. He illustrated how Jesus and other biblical figures practiced this principle. One new concept that he introduced was “internal marketing,” which refers to motivating employees and awakening their enthusiasm for the benefits and goals of the company. The best example of internal marketing for God’s kingdom can be seen in Jesus’ work.

A leader must always weigh carefully and have the wisdom to decide which parts of the bigger picture should be shared with subordinates and which should not—a very useful skill both in church and the business world.

Finally, we also explored psychological patterns that can be applied to members of well-known biblical families.

An engaging and interesting discussion with questions and comments followed the presentation given by Pastor Mrvić,, and the event continued with socializing, networking, and exchanging experiences.
