On Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29, Church of the Full Gospel was filled exclusively
with women, including seven female pastors from California who came to Croatia with a
mission to serve women—helping them grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord and
receive healing from trauma, wounds, and bondage in the process. Each of these ministers
shared powerful personal testimonies about how, with the help of the Holy Spirit, they
overcame personal challenges and triumphed in their battles against the forces of darkness.
Although this conference did not focus specifically on preaching, we heard insightful and
edifying teachings that supported the central theme—how to attain healing, freedom, and
wholeness in the Lord. On the first day, Careen Caragan spoke about the importance of
aligning our thoughts with God’s thoughts. On the second day, Deborah Jameson gave
practical, biblical instructions on how to break the lies we tend to believe about ourselves
and replace them with God’s truth. Among the speakers was CCE’s very own Rosilind Jukić,
whose sermon entitled “Faith That Sets Us Free,” illustrated her powerful personal
testimony of a faith trial and the healing she experienced. Sue Boldt’s message focused on
“The Power of Time Spent Alone with God,” accompanied by an incredible personal
testimony of miraculous healing from an aggressive and deadly form of cancer.
The main purpose of this conference was, above all, to equip us to be in fellowship and a
loving relationship with the Lord—to seek Him for who He is, more and more deeply, like
someone in love, yearning to be alone with their beloved! Then, like the Shulammite woman
in Song of Songs 6:3, we can say: “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine!”
When we desire to be alone with God, we don’t come to Him with our demands and
expectations. We don’t focus on ourselves, but on Him. That’s the place where we can
surrender all anxiety to Him, and where we hear Him speak more clearly. This is how we
learn to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit and walk in His fullness. From our innermost
being will then flow rivers of living water, as Jesus says in John 7:38, washing away every
pain and flowing through us to others—blessing and helping them.
Immediately after the conference, the monthly theme at Church of the Full Gospel
throughout the entire month of April was dedicated to the Holy Spirit and being filled with
Him, almost as a continuation of the conference’s theme. This is of great importance for all
believers so that they can grow—because this is the place where we receive strength,
blessings, and freedom to go out into the world and serve those in need, to snatch them
from the jaws of the evil one and save them from certain damnation.
Besides these teachings, the emphasis was especially on ministering to women through
personal prayer. Each woman was given ample time to be listened to, prayed for, and
encouraged with words of affirmation—which is truly what we all need the most!
We also had some fun through the creative workshops where we learned how to worship
God through hula dance, new techniques in applying makeup, and how to make greeting
cards. These activities really brought us joy and helped us relax!
The entire two days were filled with continuous fellowship and God’s presence. The
atmosphere was one of support and acceptance, and the guests from the USA became dear
friends to all of us. We can’t wait to see everyone together again!
